Personal Project; Entry for the 17/09/2015

Night time test

Just using  a singular light source, an old torch that i shone through the windows.

There will be more than one light source and there will also be an overall blue light which will contrast with the yellow house and street lights.

I really like the soft glow of the light in this set and am looking forward to seeing it completed.

 Leons Wool Press.
(Above). Named after my dad and referencing the farm that we used to live on. (Below). Close up of the detail of the hand painted door.
 The roofs
Here is half the roofs attached and ready for final paint.

The roofs really complete the set and make the buildings better. Though as I make them they don't feel right at the time but once they are finished i know they'll be ok.

The roofs have small boxes, chimneys and other 'buildingesque' things on top of them.  This helps to break up the otherwise flat skyline.

some of the roofs are simply small sections of corrugated cardboard that protrude from the wall.
