Flash animations Week12-17

Running cat with reflections in water.

 Very slow yet rythmatic cat run cycle. I slowed down the frame-rate to get a more pronounced run.

 Dog walk cycle.

 A quick fight scene that i was mucking around with, oddly satisfying this was.

 Character doing a backflip added in the "bullet" object later but it doesn't need it.

Doing it the parkour way. just a quick and untidy animation. I really liked the flow of this piece and will continue it on at a later date.

Character doing a few jumps to cross a chasm before falling onto bum.

The knights have returned. This animation was inspired by the knights charging on the latest game of thrones episode.

Run cycle front and side

Walk cycle all. Front, side, and three quarter.

Lifting with different weights. Though now looking at it heavy and medium need to be swapped around. the thought here was that the heavier object required more body strength hence the character using legs more than upper body strength.

Just a quick cowboy riding a cat run.

My character in a front walk cycle. I gave him a very distinct flick of hands with each step.

Side walks

This was my first attempt at my character side walk. its ok but i realised that i coloured in the legs wrong which makes him look like hes skipping and not walking.

Practised last night with more flash work, here is a biker doing stunt jumping.

We started off with drawing a pig in Flash. apparently my pig means that i am very artistic and like small details.

First time ever to use flash so not entirely happy with outcome but not overly concerned either.


Today we learned how to make a simple flash animations, a coin slide and a pendulum swing.
 We had to consider the speed of each and change accordingly.  The pendulum for example went faster in the middle and slower at the most extreme points hence the circles closer together.

We also made the character we designed last term have a head turn. see below.

Turnarounds in flash

Just a quick blip before the turnarounds. Drawing my character from references.  these turned out well and were good reference points for my project as my character is sitting down most of the time in my animation.

After cleaning up the lines on my character in flash. I played the sequence which made the character turn around.  I chose the small version of my character as this turnaround was the most successful.  The slight jump in this simply stays in with his personality.
