Found some old leftover spray paint from The B.O.F art dept stuff so i sprayed the wall section as a base coat. This section of wall was made from matchsticks and pieces of thin card. An add bit of corrugated card made perfect roofing material.
The walls are being spit out quite fast, I draw directly onto the foam board and rough out design but change it slightly to fit the sizes of wood that i have available.
The painted pieces of wall layed out to dry. Had to take a few breaks as it was quite strong down there in the basement after spray painting the lot.
But it was worth it and the pieces are coming along well.
Here is the new section of wall that i did today. I tried to give myself ample room for mistakes, hence the very wide sidewalks.
I had a leftover piece of 'rock' that i glued to an existing section of wall. Just a quick note to self that I may need to make another layer to go on top of this set as might not be correct when I start shooting, also in my animatic the walls are quite high.
A view from the side. The fountain is a resin cast same with the steps which you might see in the following video. Most of these wall section are made of balsa wood strips, matchsticks and thin card which are glued to foam board. The windows for these sections will be addressed at a later point.
