I mixed up some plaster and poured it into an empty lift plus can. once dried i cut the can leaving the cylinder plaster shape intact. Carved out designs, just going from what feels right and not following any particular design.
Below: series of pictures of an unpainted carved sculpture. Carved using a simple cheap craft knife.
With this i just went with the flow, carving away parts where the plaster was slightly softer leaving the harder parts. A good example is the Altar or monument part on the top.

Update:
Another carved sculpture. This time i carved the landscape into a "branch" and painted with acrylic paints. I still need to paint the small road that goes across the green and the rocks. Also need to flock the work with synthetic grass.
Painted using acrylic paints and PVA glue. I used some flock to give it some more texture.
Final piece measures 14cm x 7cm
I drybrushed the wood giving it a more natural feel.
