Gun practice for group project

Just a quick blip to say hey done something this week, well I did this earlier but hadn't posted it up.
I was trying to think of how I could create a gun for the main character in our group project that looked sci fi and had a element that I knew I could recreate as a physical prop.  I was thinking that this would be made out of old $2 shop guns and other materials I could scrounge up.

 The final gun doesn't look  much like the image i think now i could do a better job.

 I used a free software called hero creator to piece together my first and initial concept for Mia. This was a very useful tool as it allowed me to create characters fast and to see them in colour.  Some of these initial designs are still used in the final concept for Mia.

The final gun, could have been done better now looking back at this.  Here you can see each part of the gun as it could be put together.

Characters and creatures

Just some quick designs and sketches for characters and creatures for our group project.

This figure was based of a character from the game Destiny. I was looking more at colour and costume choice, the straps/belts being used in the final concept for Thai.

A quick Photoshop blend of over painting and photo bombing.  This was done quickly -about 5minutes.  After talking with my prop master we thought that the cave creature characters are really human but have devolved having growths horns and gas masks from an era long past.  In Figure 3, I was trying to get across the innocence of the child and explore colour that could be used for the final image. This is not a very good clean image and has many mistakes. Below in figure 4,  my thinking was that the young retained their humanistic appearance but once they reached adulthood they fully transformed into a cave creature with claws, elongated horns and scaly skin.
