Mood boards

Here are a few mood boards that my art team and I have created. The categories are; forest, cave, ship, character and creature.  We weren't given very much to go on so at this stage everything may not be as cohesive as I'd like but we will get there.

 The cave is an areathat the main character falls into as he is running away from a beast, it is here that he meets the human hybrid creatures, who help him out of the water he landed in.

 The main character in this film is a male technician. The back story is still being developed but as of today he loses a wife and child and has to survive on his own cunning and skill. His name is Ty, 30 years old and has a wife and son who have died in a crash.

 The creatures in this film/animatic, I believe are going to be the most challenging aspect. Creating believable characters is a major obstacle.  So far the creatures are going to be some form of monster/alien as well as a human sub species/hybrid.  The humanoid creature will have horns or antlers that face down its back and small eyes, a gas mask or 'leech' creature will be fused to its outh as its source of breathing.  Another idea yet to be confirmed is that the creature will be blueish tones and semi translucent due to the environment that its from.

 The forest as we all have depicted it is very dense, lush and thick with foliage. a sort of magical or otherworldly presence could be present in some of them.

Figure5: Ship

The ship as has been described by the story-boarders is a small craft holding a couple of crew, a few stasis pods. It may be a smaller breakaway from a larger ship.  All images gathered by team and I have all references in a folder on my hard drive.
