Using curves and Duplicate special

Today we learned to use the curve tool and to make extrusions along these curves to create pipes etc, we also learned to use the duplicate special tool to make duplicate of the same object, this was really useful when making something of more than one of the same objects such as pickets for a fence.

Pipes and bridges.

 my first failed attempt to make a bridge between to objects. It failed because it twisted in the middle.

 An elaborate twist of pipe work, though note to self when twisting the pipe flattens, so will have to watch this.

Pickets

 using the duplicate special tool and moving the rotation i made a corner area for a fence.

 the original picket and then duplicated four more times.

 I added a post in the corner to make it more realistic.

i then added slats and beveled and improved upon the post to make an attractive feature.


Turbine

We used a basic cylinder to start off with and using the extrude tool created the base for the turbine. We used the duplicate special and rotation to imitate blades for the propeller of a turbine.

I then created a very basic plane to put the turbine onto. I used duplicate special to make the turbine for the other side of the plane.
