We used some textures from the resource drive. Using the texture editor we made the texture fit correctly to the plane.
We put this texture through photoshop and made a colour and black and white version of it then re imported it into maya. This process helped the bump value of the texture tricking the viewer to believe that the plane is 3d.
We used the duplicate special tool to make the other wall and rotated it to fit in the scene.
We made boxes and using the same bump technique added a wooden texture to them.
We made the concrete by creating a cylinder and chopping 3/4 of the face off, pushing it into a corner and beveling the edge facing the viewer.
We then made another cylinder this time just leaving it as it is on top of the concrete.
We made the texture for the cylinder once again in the same fashion as before.
