Originally was going to build both sides of the bridge, coming out of the "wall" but this didn't work out so just made the one side with the bridge coming out towards the viewer.
Step1:
I hand carved the "Frame" with a craftknife. The image was transferred via saral transfer paper.
Step2:
I started with the painting of the sky and elements furthest away.
Step3:
Grey florist foam was added and carved to make the rocky cliff edge. each piece was hot glued to the mdf background.
Step4:
The bridge coming out of the image. It took a few goes to get the angle right for the image to work properly.
Background finally painted.
Step5:
A mixture glue and sand helped create the textured feel for the rocky outcrop.
